5 Amazing Benefits of Drinking More Water

Consistently drinking water is one of those things you know you should be doing, but you choose not to. It's like exercising. On New Year's Eve you say you're going to do more of it , and then on January 5th you're just like nahh maybe next year.

There are so many things you could live without( trust me, there was life before Snapchat and Instagram), water is an exception. Not only do you have to drink water to stay alive, you have so much to gain from drinking much of it. Hopefully i can get you to stick to drinking water more often by the end of this post.

Without further ado, here are 5 reasons why you should drink more water:
  • Clears your skin
I've been battling acne since the beginning of time, and i can safely tell you that water has helped so much! Water flushes out the toxins and waste products in your skin that eventually build up and causes you to breakout. Can you believe all you have to do is drink water!? You could save a lot on skin care products just by drinking water!
  • Helps you maintain or lose weight
Drinking water fills up your stomach which makes you feel less hungry. If you're still hungry after eating lunch, just drink water. It will make you feel full and you'll be less likely to eat more than you need to.
  • Rids of headaches and migraines
A common cause for headaches is dehydration. It's not the only cause but you usually get a headache when you don't drink enough water. Next time you have a headache, try drinking water before going into you medicine cabinet.
  • Boost your energy
If you have to go to class or work and you're feeling extra tired, drink water! Dehydration causes fatigue which makes you tired. The simple fact of being thirsty means that you're already dehydrated. Drink lots and lots of water!
  • Money Saver
Instead of paying for a drinks at restaurants, just get water. It's free! You save money and you get the awesome benefits stated above. It's nothing but a win win situation.

Do you drink enough water?
Watch out for a follow-up post on tips to drink more water. I honestly forget to drink water sometimes.

  3. I feel this! I actually started drinking a gallon of water a day for a blog challenge, and I've pretty much stuck with it for the past few months. My skin is clearer, my constant headaches are gone, and I find that I don't want to snack as much. One thing that really surprised me is how easy it is to mix up hunger and thirst. Now, if I want a snack, I have a glass of water and wait 20 minutes - and I'm usually not hungry by then!

  13. I do try to drink at least 2 litres of water after going to the hospital because of dehydration once (passed out after a shower). It is hard bit very essential. Keeping a water bottle with you is a great trick to drink a lot of water because when you see the bottle, your first instinct will be to take a sit. Those sips do add up.

I would reccomend a 750 ml bottle because it is smaller than a 1 litre bottle and to get the required amoint a day, you just drink it 2.5 times. It gets easier once you get used to it.
