Check these 5 Amazing Benefits of Drinking More Water and see for yourself!
Invest in a nice water bottle and bring it everywhere with you.
It's very easy to forget to drink water when you don't have it with you. I use to have water with me, but then i would just leave it in my bag and only remember that it was there at the end of the day. I missed the whole purpose of having water with me. But that was old me! Don't be like old me. Try to put it in front of you so you'll always have an eye on it. If you have a water bottle staring at you all day, you're definitely going to drink it. Also be sure to refill it every time you empty it.
If you can, try to eat spicy food.
When you eat something that's too spicy, the first thing you reach for as relief is water. Now i'm not telling you go eat bowls of raw pepper just so you can drink water afterwards. That'll be very dumb of me to suggest. All i'm saying is in order to trick yourself into drinking more water and get all those awesome benefits i listed in my previous post, you can maybe add jalopenos to your pizza or get spicy wings.
Eat the right foods.
You don't even have to drink water all the time. You can hydrate yourself just by eating foods that are rich in water. So when you don't really feel like drinking water, eat some fruits and veggies. Watermelon, cucumbers, lettuce, celery, etc.
Create a routine.
If you have a routine, everything will fall into place naturally. Otherwise, you'll just feel like you're givng yourself a chore, and no one likes chores. It takes about 66 days to form a habit. During that time, make sure you drink water when you wake up(to boost your energy), before and after you eat(helps with digestion), and when you go to bed(prevents stroke and heart attack). After awhile, you will hardly be able to go a day without this routine.

You can even set up alarms to remind you to drink up. I personally use an app called Drink Water. What it does is reminds you to drink water throughout the day.

DeleteVery helpful post, Yvanne. I've been trying to get into the habit of drinking more water and it's been quite the task! I didn't even think about other foods that might give me the same hydration. I love food so I'll definitely be looking into eating more hydrating foods in addition to drinking water. Thanks!
